What Is Future School?
The Future School of Fort Smith is a tuition-free, public charter high school centered on a personalized approach to learning via student-designed internships, personalized learning plans, and an advisor for each student. We serve 9-12th grade students, as well as the needs of their families and community. Our student-centered model engages students from all backgrounds. We sincerely believe in the potential for each student to identify interests, cultivate in-demand skills, and graduate ready for the real world through partnerships with local K-12, higher education, and business/community organizations.
Future School of Fort Smith is proud to be a Big Picture Learning School (BPL). BPL was established in 1995 with the mission of putting students directly at the center of their own learning. As the first Big Picture Learning school in Arkansas, Future School of Fort Smith is blazing a trail of innovation.
